"Dialogue with Nature" Ambassador Course (Online)

In the mist of the global pandemic, when face-to-face scouting activities were impossible, the Leadership Training Institute (LTI) of the Scout Association of Hong Kong (HKSA) launched anĀ online educational project, so as to keep the local scouting communities staying connected, and moving forward.

With the help of an e-learning platform, leaders from LTI created an interactive video lesson based on the Leave No Trace (LNT) principles, which is in line with the objective of SAHK on environmental sustainability. Scouts are engaged by hold accountable for the questions embedded in the videos, and at the end of the lesson, they are encouraged to act as young ambassadors to spread the LNT message to at least one of their peers.
Over 900 scouts participated in this project, and we anticipated as many as 1800 scouts and peers are benefited from it. We intended to promote continuous environmental awareness hoping that our young people will become environmental stewards and create a brighter future for the world.
Knowledge shared through technology is power multiplied.
