Cubs clean up the Environment

The 1st Bryanston Saturday Pack participated in Scouts South Africa's National Challenge - Champions for Nature. This was our inspiration and guide.
We incorporated the challenge requirements within our weekly programmes and events. We planted a tree on World Earth Day 22 April, we got rid of alien vegetation, we did two litter clean ups, we did interest badges as per the challenge requirement - Recycling, MiniSASS. We made a big impact on our environment and we showed the public what scouting does for the community.
We learnt that education is very important to uplift our community and also to stop littering. We also support organisations which are taking measures to reduce their packaging material. We need to reduce our dependency on single-use plastic.
