Cub Garden in the remotest school

Retey Primary was born for the Monpa originated people, a gift (Kidu) granted by her Majesty Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck in the year 2002. It is one of the remotest schools under Sarpang Dzongkhag with fifty students ranging from classes pre-primary to six. As it is situated far away from the Dzongkhag (three dolams), modern facilities like electricity and roads are yet to be born. In the absence of technological world, role models are just their five teachers in the school. Some of the students had never seen technological entities in reality except in pictures in the books that exist in their reach. For some of them, they will be dragged by the circumstances after graduating their sixth standards. In this case, scouting movement is another platform of exposure, they experience in spite of daily formal classes in the school. In scouting movement of the school, there is some sort of tradition where the interested students are given to enroll from classes three and above. Today we have twenty eight members including three new members from class three and two new comers. Though our students are very small to carry out community services as such, the essence of scouting are printed and kept unwavering in our small ways.
