Community Service At Bagena Lhakhang
I was motivated by my own interest and willingness to help others, rather than by someone else’s encouragement.
21 September is observed as International Peace Day. On this day, Scouts of Babesa Higher Secondary School went to Samdrup Dargyaling Lhakhang in Bagena for community service. We dug holes for prayer flags and cleared the moss from the Chorten (stupa). The programme was an opportunity for us to learn new skills and build friendships. The event was a great success, and everyone enjoyed it while learning new things.
I learned skills that are useful in our daily lives. I used to think that happiness always came from playing with friends, but through this programme, I learned that happiness can also come from helping others.
