Parents who have troubled lives or are in a situation of crises often simply cannot cope and therefore not in the possession to look after their children. many lack essential needs such as money to pay for children school, doctor fees, they do not have enough strength strength, good health or confidence in the future. through the Family Strengthening Programs(F.S.P) S.O.S CHILDREN'S VILLAGE hopes to help family to learn to look after themselves so that they can live independently in the long term. Apart from all these programs we the youth of S.O.S Children's village Shillong are fortunate enough to get a chance to conduct workshop for the F.S.P students of classes 6 to 10. Some of the activities of the workshop are talks on Leadership, Education & Life Skills, Family Life, Career Counselling and group interaction apart from games and ice breakers to generate an 'At Home' feeling were done by the Team members.
