1. Swachh Bharath Abhiyan is a campaign in India that aims to clean up the streets, roads and infrastructure of India's cities, smaller towns, and rural areas. Aiming to achieve the success of the Swachh Bharath Abhiyan I have participated and organized in many events such as Cleaning railway stations, provided cotton bags and promote the usage of biodegradable bags instead of plastics, Voluntarily cleaned public toilets, Collecting the plastics from various public places and cleaning of Bus stands. Some of the activities are listed below a. Cleaning railway stations: This activity was appreciated by the railway department and as a reward it was published in Udayavani newspaper. b. Cleaning of Bus stand and other public places with the help of Udupi municipality department and scout patrol members: This activity was appreciated by Udupi Municipality department and told that they will provide necessary support for the further activities. c. Participated in Plastic awareness procession and also helped in supplying cotton bags to avoid plastics to the general public with the help of municipality department. d. Participated in cleaning of park near Pragathi Nagar, Manipal for the public use. e. Cleaned public toilets with the help of scout patrol members to avoid spreading of diseases such as Malaria, Dengue etc. 2. As a motto of Green city-Clean city I have participated in many Vanamahotsava program by planting trees, growing crops and cultivating lands. Following are some of the activities where i contributed my time and work. a. Planted trees in Dr. V S Acharya Bharath Scouts and Guides District Training Centre Pragathi Nagar, Manipal. b. Participated in planting of trees in association with Rotary club, Udupi at Dr. V S Acharya Bharath Scouts and Guides District Training Centre Pragathi Nagar, Manipal. c. Participated in cycle Jhatha and covered a distance of 34Kms from Kadiyaali –Moodubelle- Kunjarugiri - Udupi to spread awareness regarding clean city, save trees and spreading of diseases. Also met Ex-Army officer at Moodubelle and collected necessary information regarding the actions required for social development. d. Covered a distance of 20Kms by walk, from Jodukatte Udupi to Moodubelle church by spreading awareness regarding clean city, save trees and spreading of diseases. 3. A stable agricultural sector ensures a nation of food security. The main requirement of any country is food security. Food security prevents malnourishment that has traditionally been believed to be one of the major problems faced by the developing countries. As a motto of improving agriculture productivity I have participated in many programs like cultivation of land, growing vegetables and crops. a. Participated in cultivation of land near Padukere Kota under the guidance of Mr. Ravindra Aithal. b. As a part of scout activity I have planted crops and vegetables in my home garden and the whole family members are taking advantage of this activity. 4. Awards received As i was actively participated in many social welfare programs, I received many honors from the MLA of Udupi, Department of women and Child development authority, The Bharath Scouts and Guides local association Udupi and Paryaya Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji, Pejawar Mutt. a. On the occasion of Independence Day Mr. Pramod Madwaraj, MLA of Udupi handed over a memento by recognizing the active participation in social welfare programs. b. Along with the Scout troop participated as a volunteer in Paryaya Utsav in Krishna Mutt. c. Awarded as best social worker in scout by The Bharath Scout and Guides Local association Udupi. d. I received best Youth Social worker award by Department of women and Child development authority Udupi. 5.
