Community-based project: Project BSP OK KA!
My motivation for this project was the scout oath "to help other people at all times". A trait I've made a point of cultivating throughout this effort, and I'm passionate about it.
The project was held in Barangay Quesban Elementary School, Calasiao, Pangasinan, Philippines. The messengers of peace dance was performed after one of the my fellow scouts gave an introduction and spoke briefly about the project that will be held. Following the address given by the scouts, vitamin pills were distributed. After the while, the outfit advisor spoke, and the event concluded with a scout benediction.
19 families benefited from the project, mostly the children of the families benefited from the vitamin supplements we distributed, and families didn't have to buy vitamins anymore and they can use their moneys for other necessities.
We learned that, in order to assist the community, we need passion and volunteerism. Using passion will produce much better results than forcing yourself to use volunteerism.
