Commemoration of Social Forestry Day

Bhutan is know for its richness and diversity of flora and fauna. But over the years, there is a drastic decrease in coverage of forest. As a responsible, i am concerned about the environment and consequently, i volunteered in planting saplings to replace the trees that are cut down and further to commemorate and observe the social forestry day.
The project was implemented in and around school. Wherein, all the students participated in planting trees.
I suppose the environment play a critical role in our life. Yet due to the so called urbanization, forest are cleared in huge quantity which could lead to global warming. But from this project, we could mitigate these issues and save the earth.
I have learned that being responsible and contributing towards saving the earth is a sense of responsibility that every citizen should be obligated.
