Collective Action for a Cleaner Space
We started this project because a clean environment is the foundation of a healthy community, and seeing how much litter had built up in the park pushed us to act instead of waiting for someone else. As Scouts, caring for the environment is a duty, so we wanted to leave the space cleaner while reminding others that protecting shared spaces is everyone's responsibility. We hope this inspires people to stop waiting and start doing.
We planned the activity and prepared tools like trash bags and gloves, then split into small groups to clean different areas of the park. As we collected litter, we sorted it by type for proper disposal, working together throughout the process. By the end, the park was visibly cleaner, and we hoped our effort would encourage others to keep public spaces clean too.
Through this project, we learned that small actions can make a real difference when people work together toward a shared goal. Cleaning up the park showed us the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and taking initiative instead of waiting for change to happen on its own. This experience also reminded us that caring for the environment isn't a one-time effort, it's something we need to keep practicing and encouraging others to do as well.
