On 20/08/2013 the Rovers and Rangers of GDC Kullu group decided to clean the Bijli Mahadev Temple Complex and planned to do the service on 24/08/2013. On the decided day 9 Rovers, 6 Rangers and our Rover Leader Mr. Sham singh. gathered at our College and moved towards the Temple which is 13 kms (1 hour) journey by road and 3 kms (90 mnts) hike. We reached there at 10 am, took some rest and started to clean the area. 2 Rangers and 1 Rover was given the duty to prepare the lunch for the group. We cleaned the complex area for 2 and a half hours and the lunch was ready. We took the lunch followed by a sing a song session. At 2 pm we started again to properly clean the area. By 4 pm in the evening the area was neat and clean. The PUJARI (priest) of the temple was so happy with the service that he performed a special POOJA (prayers) with the group. After the pooja we moved downward Kullu as the time of the last bus was nearing. We were very happy and satisfied. A good turn was done and a new friend was won.
