Cleaning Cots from American Red Cross for California Fire Evacuees
Local scouts participated in an event with the American Red Cross in Northern California to assist in the cleaning and maintenance of cots for evacuees from the raging wildfires that often strike in the region as a result of lightning or irresponsible behavior in overgrown forests. The scouts participated in the transport, cleaning, and storage of the cots that these evacuees slept on during the fire season now that most of the fires are under control. These cots will now be ready to use for next summer when the fires will undoubtedly reoccur.
