Cleaning campaign on Trans Bhutan Trail

As our country is filled with clean environment, people still throw waste all around. So to protect our environment and to keep our environment clean and green, we went to pick up the wastes thrown by people. The main motivation was from the topic of Leave No Trace advocacy done earlier.
Our project was to pick up waste thrown by people from dochula till semtokha on Trans Bhutan Trail walk programme initiated by Bhutan Scouts Association. The programme started with a briefing of the programme and with a prayer and the officials started the walk from Dochula Pass. We as Community Based Scouts under Bhutan Scouts Association collected as much waste as possible found on the way. The wastes collected reached all the way to Semtokha and was thrown in a garbage truck.
By the works we were doing, The people who participated in this programme was very proud of us and they were very motivated to help us in picking up all the wastes. The officials, Teachers and many of them highly appreciated us for taking up this type of initiative and many people was very helpful and motivated by the works we were doing.
I learned that: 1. Wastes are thrown all around, so we have to take an initiative to pick up, clean the area and leave no trace. 2. Life without gadgets are good and helpful to us and physical exercise is the most important thing we beed in our life 3. The hardwork people put into this programme motivated us to do a lot of good stuffs in the future.
