Cleaning campaign
My motivation for the cleaning campaign arose from seeing the waste and its impact. I wanted a cleaner, healthier environment for all, believing collective action could make a difference. I envisioned a community where cleanliness and environmental care are valued.
Our cleaning campaign kicked off promptly at 11 AM, starting from the assembly ground of Babesa Higher Secondary School. We systematically cleared litter along the route, making our way towards RTC Junction, and then continued our efforts to Nyzergang Lhakhang, Thimphu. The entire process was a collective effort, with everyone focused on making our route cleaner and more pleasant. After completing our work, we held a 30-minute prayer session before heading home
"This cleaning campaign highlighted the significance of community engagement and strategic planning. We learned that identifying and addressing specific areas of need, like trash-filled parks or polluted waterways, was essential. Effective communication and outreach were key to mobilizing volunteers and raising awareness.
