Clean-up Drive in the Sogod TIbgao River

The river in Sogod Tibgao is located near a small community. The residents bathe, swim, and do their laundry in these said river. Sadly, the river has been some sort of a dumpsite. In here we found plastics, poop, and clothes, and several other materials that does not belong in the river. On the bright side, the river isn't too far gone. So with the initiative to help the community, and help restore and preserve the river, Outfit 015 of Catanduanes Council initiated this project.
With 6 senior scouts and 4 adult leaders. We discarded as much trash and garbage as we possibly can. The barangay provided the trash bags that we used, and the trash recovered from the site was taken to the barangay's Material Recovery Facility (MRF) for proper segregation.
With the success of this project. Outfit 015 managed to help the community have a cleaner and safer river that they could use everyday safely and free from any worry.
Outfit 015 learned that the project should have included a seminar and lecture to the locals that live nearby in order that we could help ensure that they can keep the river clean and safe on their own.
