Cheri Monastery (Pelgiri) Project.

The Cheri monastery is one of the very blessed place in Bhutan by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Thus taking this opportunity to help the monks in transporting materials to the destination was the main aim as well as it is very auspicious to take part in volunteering to do such helpful work to create a better world around.
The project was held at Pelgiri above Cheri monastery. Although it was a very sunny day and a long hike, we managed to transport roof sheets and bricks to Pelgiri from Chari monastery on the way to Pelgiri. At Pelgiri, we again transported rocks to the construction site of walls and meditation shelters for monks. We managed to complete the works even tho it was tiring and a risky job for individuals.
The project helped us in gaining blessings for such good effort every volunteers have put in as well as the project helped in motivating the youths in getting engaged in working to create a better world around and getting inspired. We have also cleaned and collected wastes while heading back home.
As this was a very successful project held, I learned how much we can benefit to others by joining hands and working together as a team. I would make it even better by involving more members in such work carried out.
