Change Makers: from Ideas to impact across Algeria

The inspiration behind this project lies in empowering and equipping young Algerians with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to drive positive change in their communities. By focusing on leadership development, community service, advocacy, and social entrepreneurship, the project seeks to harness the potential of the youth to make a lasting impact.
The project was executed through a series of meticulously planned and structured phases. It began with the 1st national forum, which served as a foundational event to launch the "Change Makers" project. The subsequent forums, organized regionally, focused on specific aspects of community development, such as advocacy and social entrepreneurship , tailoring the content to address the unique needs of different areas of Algeria.
Change Makers engaged a substantial cohort of 300 young participants from diverse regions in Algeria. It left a profound impact on the community, equipping these individuals with valuable skills and leadership qualities. Notably, the emergence of projects like Quranic school construction, language school establishment, and the promotion of traditional Algerian clothing underscores the project's tangible contributions to local development, education, and cultural preservation.
The project yielded several valuable lessons. Structured training and workshops were key in developing leadership and project management skills, empowering youth to drive community change. Tailoring initiatives to local needs was vital, as diverse projects showcased. Ongoing support through the closed training camp sustained momentum and project continuity. In summary, empowering and equipping youth with the tools to make a positive impact fosters community development.
