CET EXAMINATION SERVICE DURING THE PANDEMIC

The coronavirus pandemic had in turn caused a disruption in offline mode of education which would reorganise the future course of educational streams for the students. The Education Department, Government of Karnataka emphasised on conduction of CET examination in an offline mode with strict adoption of medical protocols inclined towards minimising the spread of the pandemic. The motivation of serving the society in the time of a crisis and securing the future of students was irrepressible.
The project saw implementation at Visveswarapura College of Science located on KR Road, Bengaluru. The college was a centre where students had to undertake the examination. The execution was a coordinated effort from the Education Department, Scout Volunteers, Medical Personnel, Security Personnel and Ground Staff in addition to active implementation of the standard operating procedures pertaining the pandemic. Effective interaction with the students helped in efficient execution of the project.
The project had a welcoming and resourceful impact on the community as it helped reshape and uphold the educational aspirations of students despite the medical crisis. The community rejoiced as the strict enforcement of the medical protocols ensured that none were infected with the virus at the examination centre. In general, it has highlighted the inevitable role and commitment of scouting volunteers towards minimising the intensity of the pandemic while conducting crucial public events.
The project has in turn taught the participants the skill of Time Management, Large Scale Gathering Management, Active Enforcement, Effective Coordination. Additionally, it has inoculated the participants with the requisite resources pertaining group work, advanced communication, enhanced interaction and societal orientation and inclination. The project has taught the participants, the service mechanism to adhere in order to address all challenges catering a unprecedented circumstances.
