100 Community Based Scouts of Gelephu, a small city down town in the southern part of Bhutan celebrated International Peace Day the with the City Governor and Executive Secretary of the city. The traditional opening ceremony in Bhutanese tradition marked the opening of the international peace day. The Executive Secretary and the Governor of the city were the guests of honor and they also planted the peace trees. Individual peace pledges were made by all the participants in the gathering. The team planted hundred of plants, flowers and trees in the city park and in the city garden. peace speeches were delivered by the participants. Program began from 8:00 AM and concluded around 5:00 PM.
