Due to COVID 19 pandemic, The Bharat Scouts and Guides Himachal Pradesh set 04 Actions to celebrate International Day of Peace 2020 digitally. The Actions was as follows: ● Volunteers from different countries (at least 25 countries) gave a 10-15 seconds video message on ‘What Peace means to me?’ ● Video bites from the Patron, State President, Vice President and State Chief Commissioner of the state on “What peace means to me?” ● Scouts, Guides, Rovers, Rangers and Adult Leaders will send video bites of the District President -cum- Deputy Commissioner of the District, Panchayat Pradhan, renowned personality and others of their District and the villagers stating his/her views on “Peace” ● An interactive webinar on “Peace”. I was deputed as a service Rover in the Technical Team for this event. On 21st September 2020, a webinar is conducted by The Bharat Scouts and Guides Himachal Pradesh. The webinar started with the BSG Prayer. After That the Master of the ceremony gave general introduction of the Guests. After that Sh. Raj Kumar Kaushik, Director BSG India gave his views on Peace. Afterwards, Dr. K. K. Khandelwal, Chief National Commissioner, BSG India gave his message on Peace. Later, Sh. Madhusudan Avala, Deputy International Commissioner Scout BSG India shared his view on how Peace helps to create a better world. After that, a video on International Day of Peace was played. Afterwards, Dr. Amarjeet K. Sharma, State Chief Commissioner BSGHP -cum- National Headquarters Commissioner (Skill Development) BSG India welcomed all the Guests and viewers and gave an overview of the programme. After that, a video showing the work done by The Bharat Scouts and Guides Himachal Pradesh of past 09 months was played during webinar. Later, Ms. Cynthia Marquez, Senior Manager, Educational Initiatives and Messengers of Peace Network, World Scout Bureau gave her thoughts on how Scouts helps in shaping Peace.. Afterwards, Sh. Govind Singh Thakur, Hon'ble Education Minister of H.P. And Vice President of BSG H.P. gave his words of blessing to the Bharat Scouts and Guides Himachal Pradesh. After that, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya, H.E. Governer of H.P. -cum- Patron BSG H.P. gave words of wisdom to The Bharat Scouts and Guides Himachal Pradesh. Dr. Anju Sharma, State Commissioner Guide BSG H.P. thanked all the Guests and viewers of this webinar. The webinar was ended with the National Anthem.
