The promotion of the Scout movement through the use of the scout method, values and attitudes associated to peace and scouting through 100 projects specially developed for dozens of local communities in Romania. Developing highly accessible activities of inclusion for children and youth coming from families with fewer opportunities. Promoting Romanian scouting as a non-formal education provider which promotes positive values for the children and youth of the Romanian society. RESULTS: Offering support for 100 children and youth coming from families with fewer opportunities to participate to the regional camps and the national event of the project. Offering support for the development of 100 projects for local communities around Romania from which the participants in the project come from. Created a virtual platform where each patrol participating in the project was able share the project done for their community. Organizing 6 regional scout camps, each with 100 scouts. The regional camps took place between the 27th and 31st of July. Due to the smaller number of scouts registered for the second phase of the project, we decided to reduce the number of the regional camps from 10 to 7 (6 regional camps and the cub scouts camp). 600 scouts and 100 patrol leaders have applied for this stage of the project. They were well spread across Romania and this meant a good representation and easy access of scouts from everywhere. All the activities developed during the camps had an real impact; new friendships were born, new practical skills were acquired, adventure sports were experimented. The scouts took part in activities at each camp fire, they assimilated new values like tolerance, accepting diversity, inclusion and self confidence. The diversity of the activities, the usage of the nature as framework and the scout method are the elements that helped creating an experience with a great impact on the participants at the scout camps and truly contributed towards their personal development. Thanks to the support received from the Messengers of Peace we were able to give to 100 scouts with lower opportunities the chance of joining the camps and meeting other scouts. The “trace” left by each camp consisted in: A playground for children at Navodari Camp An alley of the scouts at Cristian Camp Ecologizing the shores of Nera river at Cheile Nerei Camp A trinity wood sculpture in Padurea Baneasa Camp Work towards promoting the area as a touristic destination at Poiana Deleni Camp Helping at the construction of a cob house at Suncuius Camp Offering support for the development of one national event Organizing a Non-Formal Education Fair during the national event, that promoted the achievements of the project and the Messengers of Peace program to other NGOs and public sector 100 Methods of Non-Formal Education Fair The main objective of this fair was to identify a minimum of 100 non-formal educational activities. These activities were generated by the organisations invited to get involved in the event. Also, some of the activities were generated by the local scout groups and scout patrols. The schedule of this part of the event was structured in a minimum of 100 methods divided in 2 days with 2 sessions of activities per day. This meant that each session hosted a minimum of 25 activities. Through this component of the programme we aimed to help the participants in the event to really “live the non-formal education” together with the visitors and guests. We created a time capsule which consists of a wooden chest. In this time capsule scout groups from all across the country have sent memories of the centenary celebration and messages of peace and the chest will be opened by the Scouts in Romania after another 100 years, at the next centenary. The closing ceremony of the chest was held on the 1st of June at the National Museum Peles Castle in Sinaia.
