CED BSP supports Scouts GO GREEN!

To support the National Office's Scouts Go Green Project, the Boy Scouts Philippines Quezon Council held a simultaneous tree planting with the goal that each scout will plant and nurture at least one tree as a contribution to BSP thrust of planting one million trees in a year. The Scouts and Scouters of Calauag East District supported and responded to this environmental calling.
Scouts and Scouters of Calauag East District supported and responded to this environmental calling under the guidance of the District Scout Commissioner, Sctr. Meilani L. Adan, BSP School Head-in-Charge, Sctr. Rossano P. Bernal, DTL Icel Jonah A. Pelagio, and DKL Clara Mae I. Mirabel. Registered scouts from each school of CED joined together last September 11, 2021 to September 25, 2021. Young scouts planted in their backyards while teachers and adult leaders planted around the school premises.
Each school tree planting activity provided the educators with the opportunity to inspire everyone to inculcate positive changes in their school and their community. As per Tracking Record on Ecological Excellence thru Scouting (TREES Form), Calauag East District Scouts and Scouters planted several fruit-bearing trees and indigenous and endemic trees such as Narra trees, mahogany trees, guava trees, calamansi trees, jackfruit trees, chico trees, cacao trees, mango trees, and coconut tree.
Saving trees would lead to a greener and healthier environment and in turn, lead to us being healthier and more active.
