Breathing Wellness, Building Strength

International Yoga Day inspired us to promote a healthy lifestyle and create awareness about the importance of physical and mental well-being. As Scouts and Guides, we believe that a healthy body and a peaceful mind are essential for personal growth and community service. Our goal was to encourage young members to practice yoga regularly and understand its benefits for fitness, concentration, and inner peace.

On 21 June 2026, participants assembled at Simjhuri Kali Mandir at 6:30 AM. After preparations, the yoga session started with Padmasana, followed by various yoga asanas and breathing exercises. The programme concluded with Surya Namaskar and a short awareness talk on the benefits of yoga. A total of 21 members participated enthusiastically in the celebration.

Through this project, we learned the importance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental peace, and self-discipline. We also learned teamwork, time management, and the value of regular exercise. The activity inspired us to adopt healthier habits and encouraged us to share the benefits of yoga with others in our community.
