Because of false beliefs and fear, people hesitate to get tested or treated. Without treatment, HIV can turn into AIDS, leading to serious illnesses like pneumonia or cancer. That’s why we, the Rangers of Govt. College, informed all students through an AIDS awareness campaign.
HIV weakens the human immune system. As part of this AIDS awareness campaign, we Rangers explained the symptoms and prevention of AIDS to students in a seminar, and encouraged them to wear a red ribbon—a symbol of unity and commitment. After the seminar, we held a poster competition in which all students participated enthusiastically.
