The concept of the Book Project is to identify local communities (islands) in Maldives where schools do not have sufficient library resources, to provide and supply them with books and other educational materials. The project enriches school libraries, making a positive impact to the students who will directly be benefited. Our project was designed with the intent of working towards SDG4 Quality Education. The Target: The target was to donate good quality reading material to the designated institution (Noonu Atoll Education Centre) and to promote lifelong learning. The project was carried out through four Activities: Activity one: Book Drive Activity two: Categorizing and Sorting Books Activity three: Workshop on the “Importance of Reading” conducted for Young People Activity four: Handover books and physical resources to the island where project is implemented. The books collected throughout the project were donated to the Noonu Atoll Education Centre on 07th March 2018.
