Blankets for Vine Maple Place

I learned that the Vine Maple Place didn’t have any blankets for those who are in need and I didn’t want them to be cold this winter.

For my project I collected donations to purchase enough fleece to make 50 blankets for those in need at Vine Maple Place. I got a group of scouts and youth along with adults from the church and community to help with cutting, assembling, and folding the blankets. Then I donated them so that they can stay warm this winter. The beneficiaries are not shown for privacy but included those who visit Vine Maple Place.

I learned a lot about how hard it is to lead a group but it is also a lot of fun. Many of the scouts didn’t know about Vine Maple Place so sharing that with them and my troop was also good so we can help more later.
