Bhutan's Unique Contribution to Peace through Prayer

A Peling Choelkhor religious ceremony was held for around 40 days, inspired by the genuine wish to alleviate the suffering of all sentient beings, starting from the local community of Samtse and extending to the entire world, while also reflecting a strong commitment to preserving Bhutan’s rich spiritual heritage and ensuring the teachings of the lineage remain vibrant for future generations; at its core, the ceremony emphasized the cultivation of compassion and wisdom, strengthening spiritual connection, and through continuous prayers, rituals, and collective devotion, it generated community merit, creating a ripple effect of peace, harmony, and positive energy that transcends all boundaries.

Youths participation towards the community inculcating respect, empathy, civic duty and responsibilities.

The Power of "Collective Merit" I have learnt that hundreds of people worked toward a single selfless goal—the well-being of the world. some of the lessons i have learnt is hosting such a major religious event at an educational institution requires turning classrooms or halls into sacred spaces. And also while arranging seating, managing crowds, or coordinating logistics, I realized that meticulous attention to detail is an act of devotion.
