Beyond the Broom: A Movement for Clean Living
The Eastern Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides – Traffic Group, Asansol organized a Sanitation & Hygiene Awareness Campaign in Ward No. 31 on 25.06.2026 to promote cleanliness, personal hygiene, and public health. The initiative aimed to inspire responsible behaviour, prevent the spread of diseases, and encourage community participation in building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable society.

The Eastern Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides – Traffic Group, Asansol successfully conducted a Sanitation & Hygiene Awareness Campaign in Ward No. 31 on 25.06.2026. Scouts and Guides interacted with residents, promoted personal hygiene, proper sanitation, waste management, and distributed awareness leaflets. The campaign inspired community participation and encouraged responsible practices for a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable society.
This project reinforced that awareness is the foundation of lasting behavioural change. It enhanced our leadership, communication, teamwork, and community engagement skills while highlighting the importance of personal hygiene, sanitation, and environmental responsibility. Most importantly, we learned that collective action and informed citizens are the key to building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable society.
