Being Prepared: Civil Defence Training
The primary source of motivation was inclined towards maximising service efficiency and efficacy while constructively impacting and aiding the society in case of any civil defence emergency declared in the country. The same is connected to the motto of being prepared and emphasising commitment to serve the nation and society in general.
The execution was undertaken with the active support and consideration of the Civil Defence Authority of the Karnataka State who in turn engaged in training and information dissemination sessions to equip the volunteers with requisite knowledge and crucial skill sets pertaining to emergency response, evacuation techniques, advanced first aid methods, communication and coordination for addressing differentiated civil defence circumstances.
The civil defence training helped maximise readiness to engage scouting volunteers for meaningful community service while strengthening their rapid response skills through training from experts. The learnings are mapped towards analysing the evolving social trends while being rooted to the core principles of scouting inclined towards dynamic social engagement and benefaction. The significant elements associated with civil defence was learnt and inculcated by the volunteers.
