State Chief Commissioners direction along with BS&G India circular on Beginners Course convinced us to undertake the project. It is not always possible for the adult to undergo 07 days residential Basic Course. So naturally it affects to start and run Scout Guide Units in the absence of trained leaders. That is the reason to introduce Beginners Course . After 04 hours training a person can be eligible to start and run units.
Keeping the above things in mind we have decided to organise a DTC meet especially with the agenda : "How to conduct beginners Course". As the course is mainly a district level programme, DTCs are the key person to execute it. Therefore Odisha State BS&G organised the DTC meet on 05th Oct. virtually. In this meet, along with Beginners course syllabus we taught them about the OYMS portal.
As expected The project draws strong lines on the mind of the DTCs. After the programme they became motivated enough to arrange beginners course in their districts.
From this we came to learn that, without traditional training of basic course, how a person can create interest among the untrained leaders as well as the boys and girls of tender age.
