Air pollution is a global problem that poses a threat to all countries in the world. The situation is so grim that only 12 percent of the cities meet the air quality standards of WHO. Considering the situation, the theme of this World Environment Day 2019, celebrated on the 5th of June 2019 is “Beat Air Pollution”.  The excessive level of air pollution has a negative impact on both indoor and outdoor air, exposing people of all age groups to health risks. The negative impact makes it necessary to take the right steps to reduce air pollution and also take precautions to stay safe..
some of the shocking facts about air pollution that many people are not aware of:

*92 percent of the people all around the world don’t breathe fresh air.
*The ground-level ozone pollution may reduce the staple crop yields by approximately 26 percent by 2030.
*Indoor air pollution kills approximately 4.3 million people every year.
*Inhaling polluted air takes away approximately 1-2 years of human life.
*Toxic air pollution poses a great threat to children as a result of their small physical size and lung capacity.
*Approximately 7 million people in the world die prematurely as a result of air pollution.
So This environmental day Today dated 5th june 2019 We Bharat scouts and guides rangers &rovers had participated in World Environment day celebration nearby Padubidri Beach ,udupi with District administration department of Tourism,udupi. Ministry of Environment Forest &Climate change (MOEFCC), Society of Integrated Costal Management( SICOM) New Delhi),Association of Costal Tourism ,Pollution control Board,Udupi. & GramaPanchayat Padubidri.
We along with scouts and guides and rovers and rangers prepared SEED BALLS ,and worked towards the World environmental Day Theme: "BEAT AIR POLLUTION"  and we all also pledge to save ocean and for clean air and clean environment making policy..
