Be Prepared! CCS promotes Fire Safety this FVM
This Fire Prevention Month, Christian Community Scouting wanted to promote fire safety awareness among Scouts in order to save lives and prevent accidents.
Our project/event was held in PIQC School Grounds in 62 Kitanlad Street, Quezon City.
We contacted the Association of Philippine Volunteer Fire Brigades Inc. and Brixton Hill Fire Volunteers as our lecturers and to promote fire safety.
We also invited the Scout O. M. Alcaraz Community Scouting (SOMACOMSCO) and the Quezon City Christian Academy (QCCA) to participate in this event.
At the end of the event, we asked some Scouts on what they learned and what they can give to other fellow Scouts out of the session. Some said that they learned a lot in terms of fire safety, and many enjoyed the activities like Fire Hose Rolling, and spraying water through the fire hose.
I myself learned a lot in this event, and one of those is that we must do our best in educating or spreading fire safety awareness to people especially Scouts, as we must know what to do and how to act in case of a disaster.
