Bandung's Renew Reading Volunteer Scouts Rally on Car Free Day

This renew team of Reading Volunteering Scouts of Bandung has a brand new spirit in doing campaign and promote their act so other scouts can join them to be Reading Volunteer.  At 7 am Sunday Morning, this team split into 2 groups; one group of 15 scouts went ot Dago Street, the other 10 scouts went to a park nearby. They all equiped with children books, poems books and short stories compilations.  In another 3 hours they had read for several people, mostly children. They even met a groups of homeless children who used to smoke and being naughty to other teens around in that event. They read them some poems; and the behavioral changes was very obvious. Those children stop smoke and throw away their cigarette, and turned to be enjoying the poems very much. They asked to be photographed together with our volunteers before we left.  These new volunteers were immediately got addicted to this act, and they planned to do the same rally next week in different community event and other parks.
