BAKAWAN: Para sa Kalikasan at Karagatan
Save the Nature! Save the Environment!
Guinayangan is a coastal municipality. Fishing is one of the primary source of living. We need to protect live below water and life on land. Anchored on the project objectives, that, in the future, the next generation truly will enjoy and reap of what's of today program and projects of Guinayangan National High School Outfit 869, Municipal Scouting Committee and of Quezon Council Boy Scouts of the Philippines.
Since our municipality is settled near Ragay Gulf, there are communities living beside the coastline like people of Barangay, Calimpak, Manlayo, Sisi, Salacan, Himbubulo Este, Dancalan Centra and Aloneros. Trees along shoreline are being cut by the people and it will cause damage to life and properties, to avoid that we end up with the project. We ask the help of Municipal Mayor, Barangay Officials, scouts and adult leaders and other stakeholders to plant a Mangrove Trees.
Time will come, mangrove trees planted by more than 120 participants, the 5 thousand and more people living in these barangays are safe from natural calamities like typhoons and floods. More fish to catch and their lives and houses are safe from harm. We can also help our local tourism industry, for tourist may flock to visit the Guinayangan Mangrove and Tourism Boardwalk.
"We need to protect our Mother Earth from other people and from harm. We need to plant trees for the next generation to survive and enjoy the gift of life we are enjoying today", said District Troop Leader Scouter Arnulfo U. Quisto Jr., CML.
"We see the eagerness of people in their participation in this project, there are scout participants headed by Eagle Scout John Ryan P. Ilao planting trees in our 2 planting sites, according to Institutional Scouting Coordinator Janield S. Torres, CML.
