[B] Environment & Sustainability Challenge 3- #Go Green

Polythene bags have harmful effects to the environment as these are one kind of plastics which are non-biodegradable and cause environmental pollution and also had adverse effect on human beings. Plastic bags tend to disrupt the environment in a serious way. They get into soil and slowly release toxic chemicals. They eventually break down into the soil, with the unfortunate result being that animals eat them and often choke and die. Number of marine animals are killed every year from plastic bag litter in the marine environment as they often mistake plastic bags for food such as jellyfish. Plastic bags, once ingested, cannot be digested or passed by an animal so it stays in the gut. If we can't dispose it in a right way then we should stop using that and for a change we can opt to another option that is to use cloth bags or bags which are Eco friendly in mateials. As part of this beautiful world, and a responsible citizen of this community, I had taken a step forward to make my own cloth bag. #bsgindia #stayathome #scouts4sdgs #plasticchallenge #bsgptt #sankalpbyscoutguide
