Ashokasthami Service
Service is the keyword of scouting. Getting inspiration from this the Rovers of Odisha State Bharat Scouts & Guides rendered their services in the Ashokasthami i.e. Car Festival of Lord Lingaraj on Dtd. 09.04.2022 and in the RAM NAVMI on Dtd. 10.04.2022.
70 nos. of Rovers from different parts of Odisha reported at SHQrs. on 09.04.2022. After arrival, they were divided into 4 parts and allotted different duties such as Distribution of Curd Water, Cleaning the temple premises and outside, controlling the public rush, carrying out the casualty, etc. Then they proceeded to the venue by a bus (Public transport) with Stretcher, Water Sprayer, Tent, Dustbin, etc. They performed their duties successfully and were very much appreciated by the public.
The performance of Rovers was sufficient to impress the public. They were highlighted by the media by which we all were greatly inspired to do such work in the foture.
It was learned from the event that we can get success if proper preparation and discipline are there.
