The initiation ceremony is the gateway to scout life for a newcomer. As a newcomer, after three months of training as a boy / girl member badge, inspired by the Scout's ideals and accustomed to implementing Scout vows and laws in his daily life, he was formally accepted as an active member of the World Scout Movement. No newcomer can wear a scarf or badge until the moment of formal initiation and claim to be a scout member. The group scout leader will initiate the newcomer himself. The initiation ceremony will be conducted in a concise, unpretentious and solemn atmosphere. The group / unit committee president, members, parents of the scouts, guardians / guardians and local concerned persons should be invited to attend the initiation ceremony. At the end of the initiation ceremony, sports / variety programs / scout exhibitions etc. can be organized by the scouts so that the invited guests can get an idea about the activities of the scouts. Pre-preparation Some pre-preparation is required to conduct the initiation ceremony. Date of initiation ceremony, time must be approved by the group / unit committee. The initiation candidate should be made to understand and practice very well the things to be done so that he does not make any mistake in the main ceremony. Group Scout Leaders, Assistant Scout Leaders, Senior Sixth Leaders and Sixth Leaders can be trained on their respective responsibilities and duties by formulating a schedule if possible. Necessary items for the initiation candidate such as member badge, group scarf, wagle, hat, sixth symbol, my scout record, shoulder badge, septipin etc. should be collected in advance. Everyone should try to ensure that the continuity and seriousness of the program is not compromised for the slightest mistake during the main program. On the basis of the above information, the initiation ceremony of the new rover members of Jatir Janak Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Government College Rover Scout Group was organized on 15th & 16th January 2020. Group President Mr. Pike Mohinurul Islam Sir (Principal, Jatir Janak Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman) was present at the inauguration ceremony. And Mr. Mahmuda Begum (Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics). At the ceremony, 12 new boys and 18 girls were introduced to the Rover Scout members.
