The Anambra State Scout Council has joined other Millions of Scouts Worldwide as Members of the Messengers of Peace. This was done at the Messengers of Peace Training that was held in Awka in Anambra State with over 120 Scouts Boys and Girls, Men and Women. In his welcome address the President of the Anambra State Scouts Council, who is the Chief Justice of Anambra State, His Lordship Honorable Justice Peter Nnanna C. Umeadi welcome all the Scouts to the MoP programs and Challenged the Youth to contribute their support towards making this World a better place as said in Scouting Vision. Part of the Peace initiatives defined by the Scouts were, but not limited to: Absence of War Freedom from Civil Disorder, Togetherness, Tranquility, Love, Harmony Lack of Violence, Nation Building, Progress Peace with Environment, Freedom from disturbance, Being one’s Brother’s/Sister’s Keeper, Calmness of Mind , Peace Orientation, Lack of Famine etc. The MoP Training team wishes Anambra State Success as they start to develop Messengers of Peace Projects on the Platform
