Amphan Relief Fund: Phase-I

On March 2020 Covid-19 struck directly to India and as a result for the first time 21st century we faced the lock down. Many people already lost their jobs, fighting against all the odds and in the meantime a cyclone named "Amphan" struct to the eastern coast of India and just destroyed almost everything. That's when we decided to go one remote place for 3 days and will try to help them to recover from this natural disaster.
We focused on a location "Kultoli" which is in South 24 Paraganas. The cyclone Amphan was mainly destroyed 90% of this village and left with just the breath to live nothing else not even drinking water. We started to donate few things and then ask to our close ones if they want to contribute. With the help of that money we were determined to do something which will help them in a longer run..We carry all our stuffs through river and we stayed there for 72 hours.
We can not say the impact of this project in words. It was mostly focused on how we can support them in this crisis. It was beyond some so called project. We were fighting there together for the shake of humanity. We planted water filters for the village, some portable toilets, some food and other necessary ingredients which are require to live. After 72 hours when we left the place we felt how blessed we are to live with such luxurious things and there are some people who have to fight everyday
The first learning for us was how blessed we are actually and still we complained about what we don't have and here a locality who have very few things with them and after this disaster they are simply nil. When we planned the project we thought it will enough but by the time we lived there we realized that that's nothing. We will go there again and this time it will be double in size to help back all our brothers and sisters in a life which we live. Sooner than later we will be successful.
