ALLEZ-CUISINE! - CCS shows their way of cooking!
Cooking time! CCS creates its first face-to-face Cookfest!
We created this project to help polish Scouts' cooking skills, while at the same time learning how to help and assist each other.
Our project was once again implemented at PIQC School Grounds, located at 62 Kitanlad Street, Quezon City.
To properly execute the project, we initially advised the Scouts a week before the activity to prepare raw materials for cooking. The main ingredient or protein will be announced at the day of the activity.
We also established a 'common pantry' (consisting of extra herbs and spices) where Scouts could grab what they want, as long as they would use it.
The Scouts who took part in this activity stated that they enjoyed and that they learned how to get along with others during a competition.
The parents of the Scouts were also happy to see their children independently cooking and enjoying.
I personally learned that we must unite for a single cause and that we must persevere, even if the situation seems hopeless. I have also observed that some Scouts were helping the younger ones in their tasks, whether it is boiling, peeling, or slicing.
Congratulations to Team 3 for winning the contest, and to our newly promoted Troop/Outfit Grubmaster.
A special thanks to the Scoutmasters and Staff of CCS for this activity.
