Alexandria Shores Without Plastic

Plastic thrown on beaches affects marine organisms, harms marine life, and threatens birds, according to the results of one study, which reported that about 400,00 marine mammals die due to ocean pollution with plastic materials. Statistics also indicate that seagulls in the North Sea contain an average of 30 pieces of plastic in their stomachs. This ends in death, which negatively affects human health
The project was implemented by holding two beach cleaning campaigns on 10 beaches in Alexandria Governorate, during which more than 250 kilograms of plastic waste was collected, and more than 3,000 thousand people in Alexandria Governorate were raised awareness. Awareness publications were distributed about the dangers of single-use plastic, and an art and recycling workshop and an exhibition of the discarded products were held. From the workshop

Launching the project to give free rein to field leaders in identifying activities to be held on the beaches from the Tide Turner Plastic Challenge within the Earth Tribe program, which enriched the emergence of a creative group of activities to be held on the beaches. Sharing and creating ideas and leaving room for modification and addition is what gave the project a spirit of experience for all participants, useful mental participation, and the best is yet to come.
