Adoption of Trees

On 5th June 2014, coinciding with the WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY, I let all scouts to adopt a tree each and advised them to make a visit twice in a day to see whether it is healthy or not. As we all know the importance of trees, but we forget. Therefore it is utmost to let our future leaders relies the importance of caring TREES. Trees clean our air, water, and soil. They also add greatly to our health, sense of well being, quality of life, and our economic future in many ways. As a result, the presence of trees and healthy ecosystems provide a strong foundation for a sustainable urban infrastructure in the future. We all breathe the same air and use the same water and soil to survive, therefore, it is important to understand the interconnection of all things as well as the important role that trees and healthy urban ecosystems play in planning for our future. We must learn to think globally, plan regionally, and act locally to reach sustainability. 'NURTURE NATURE, SAVE THE FUTURE'
