Adding greenery to streets of city | | Plantation
Increasing air pollution and decreasing greenery is major problem in my city. This problem have inspired me to take up this project along with Sustainable development goals . In cooperation with local government we have sucessfully planted plants along the sides of road and in premise of newly constructed park. This aims to achieve SDGs goals , adds greenery , reduces air pollutions and also provides shelter to birds .
We gathered volunteers from all clubs and organizations to a place and discussed about SDGs and importance of trees for our environment. Then we started transporting plants to required place to be planted along the footpath of roads and premise of park itself.
This project will be benefitting around fifty thousands of population of ward -7 and all other people using the road or as whole community will be benefitted. Not only humans but we believe these trees will provide shelter to birds in future very soon.
I learnt about the satisfaction after planting the tree realizing the impact it can make in our nature . I learnt about the importance of coexistence of trees and building in city . I realize development is not only tall skyscrapers but also greenery .
