7 day cleaning on the 9th moenlam chanpo, punakha
As our King has said, “Keeping our community clean is also nation building.” Inspired by this message, I took part in a seven-day cleaning campaign during the 9th Moenlam Chenpo held in Punakha.
A total of 44 scouts from different schools, including myself, participated in this initiative. The activity began on December 19 and continued for one week. Throughout the program, we cleaned the Moenlam Chenpo venue and surrounding areas, including crowded spaces and nearby shops, by properly collecting and disposing of waste. All scouts worked consistently each day with dedication, and some even participated despite being unwell, showing strong commitment and responsibility
Through this activity, we learned the importance of maintaining a clean and respectful environment during major national events. The experience also helped us develop teamwork, discipline, and effective communication skills, especially while interacting respectfully with elders and the public.
