60th World Scout Jamboree On The Air (JOTA), Bintulu Station (9M4CPB)

The Scouts Association of Malaysia, Bintulu District has joined in the 60th World Scout Jamboree On The Air (JOTA) held on the 20th~22nd November 2017 with the callsign of 9M4CPB. The Station Master was Melvin Hendary (9M8MAR) and the Station Manager was myself (9W8ALV). A total of 7 primary schools and 4 secondary schools attended the camp which was located at the Pusat Kegiatan Guru Bintulu and SMK Bintulu with the help of several radio amateur such as MArvin Hendary (9M8MAR), Alvin Johnson (9W8ALV), Awang Mohamad Shukri (9W8AMS), Iqbal Bin Abdollah (9W8IQA), Mohamad Fadhlil Haffiz (9W8AES), Mohamad Fathi Bin Ramli (9W8YAI) and Mohd Fauzi Bin Abdullah (9W2TUY). A total of 174 scouts and scouters participate in the 3 days and 2 nights camp with the activities carried out such as High Frequency (HF) Radio Communication, Very High Frequency (VHF) Simplex Communication, Morse Code, Semaphore and Scout Trail Signs.
