5th International Patrol Jamboree

5th International Patrol Jamboree

The 5th International Patrol Jamboree was held at the World Scout Complex at Mount Seorak, South Korea. There were a grand total of 6500 scouts, leaders and IST members that took part along with 600 International Scouts from 45 participating countries including Fiji.

Activities included;

1.)Arena Events which included Opening Ceremony (K-Pop concert), International Night (where all international participating contingents performed their traditional acts), Superstar J (All participants were given the oppurtunity to show their various talents such as dancing, singing and etc) and the Closing Program (Awards distribution).

2.) Module Programs which included Activities such as Mountain Climbing, Ziplining, Horse Riding, Water Activities, Jamlee Hunt, World Scout Community building Activities, Jamboree Olympic Day, 4D framework, Virtual Reality Experience, Frisbee Golf and Drone Experience.

3.) DMZ site visit by group of international scout members which was followed by a Peace Forum.

4.) Religions and Korean Cultural exchange program.

It was a Great time to  learn new things such as the korean culture, a little bit of their language and to eat a whole lot of kimchi and also it was a perfect way of making new friends and spreading the word of peace with one another.
