UE Scouting never stops! That's what the University of the East-BSP Outfit 1331 and the University of the East-GSP Chapter 512 have proven after completing their 5-day Leadership Seminar for their upcoming officers this Academic Year 2020-2021. This year's Batch Lapu-Lapu (BSP) and Batch Kryztal (GSP) will face new and unknown challenges, especially now that we are facing a pandemic plus also, the new schooling method, the Distance Learning introduced by the Department of Education (DepEd). For their first day, the Scouts discussed about the G Suite, a suite of cloud computing, productivity and collaboration tools, software and products developed by Google which will be used for our online classes. On Day 2, Chief Girl Scout Marie Rosary Abellar talked about a handful of recreational activities that can be initiated during the pandemic and UE-BSP Outfit 1331 Outfit Advisor Scouter John Kristoffer B. De Jesus discussed about the Dialogue for Peace, which is part of the Betterworld Framework of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, in partnership with KAICIID. And for their third day, the Scouts have began to devise their own Calendar of Activities for their respective Outfit and Chapter. On the fourth day, UE Basic Education teacher Mrs. Mona Lisa S. Polancos disscussed a handful of tips on how to start and practice our good study habits concerning the distance learning method, including many creative home projects that we can do during the pandemic. Lastly, for their fifth and final day, UE-BSP and GSP Scouts talked about their Duties and Responsibilities, redefining it as the UE Scouting Institution adapts from this pandemic. They have also talked about the S.M.A.R.T. Goals and the importance of formulating an Outfit Meeting Plan during virtual meetings.
