2021 RDSJ ICT Support

The 2021 Central Luzon Regional Digital Scout Jamboree was the first online jamboree in the Philippines. To render a complete and enjoyable jamboree experience to the participants, the Rover Scouts of the Lualu Rover Circle 9 decided to provide assistance as ICT Support Staff. The Rover Scouts wanted the participants to learn from the discussion and activity modules with minimal to no technical delays or difficulties and to have a sense of online security during their entire participation.

The Rover Scouts of Lualu Rover Circle 9 served as ICT Support Staff in the 2021 Central Luzon Regional Digital Scout Jamboree at Pampanga, Philippines. As ICT Support Staff, the Rover Scouts prepared and facilitated the Zoom for module discussions and activities, ensured online security, assisted in discussants' presentations, created PUBMATs, evaluations and documentation, delivered e-certifications, and other logistics and technical matters in Messengers of Peace and Safe From Harm modules.

The 2021 Central Luzon Regional Digital Scout Jamboree had 6500 participants, both Scouts and Adult Leaders. With the successful accomplishments of assigned duties and responsibilities, the Rover Scouts provided a complete, enjoyable, and memorable experience to all the jamboree participants with minimal technical issues. The participants greatly learned (with active participation) from the discussions of Messengers of Peace and Safe From Harm modules delivered to the comfort of their homes.

The Rover Scouts learned better online management, facilitation, and communication. The service helped the Rover Scouts better understand online and offline applications to assist them in their future volunteer services or professional careers. The service could be further improved by having better laptops and internet services, and by having ICT training. Nevertheless, the Rover Scouts were able to control the lags and connection problems encountered through better task management.
