每年有800萬噸的塑膠廢棄物流入大海, 我們知道保育類動物綠蠵龜小時候以水母為食物, 長大以後, 以水藻為食物, 也因為塑膠袋流入大海, 讓綠蠵龜誤以為是水母, 水藻誤食而造成死亡。 以前, 臺灣各海域的沙灘都有綠蠵龜上岸產卵的紀錄, 但是, 由於海岸過度開發與人為的破壞, 只剩下少數海灘能看到綠蠵龜產卵的蹤跡, 小綠蠵龜返回大海的途中, 除了人類的破壞, 也會遭遇到許多天敵的攻擊, 非常少的綠蠵龜能成長到成龜, 大約只有千分之一。 為了防止綠蠵龜從地球上消失, 我們必須保護牠, 重視我們週遭的環境, 使我們能夠保持綠蠵龜的生存條件，並將它們留在棲息地繁殖後代, 永遠存留在這美麗的地球上。 2017年9月2日, 石門社區童軍團幼童軍加入了 "2017 由我減塑, 海洋沒塑和平使者計畫", 為使塑膠袋使用的數量減少, 增加塑膠袋回收再利用, 我們收集使用過的塑膠袋, 清洗乾淨, 曬乾, 折疊好, 送到社區附近的商店, 讓沒有帶購物袋的居民使用, 並將此次計劃的內容影印放在塑膠袋內, 讓居民知道環境保護的重要, 並鼓勵居民自備環保袋, 以澸少新塑膠帶的使用量 Every year, 8 million tons of plastic waste flows into the sea. As we know, the conservation animals green turtles eat jellyfish as a child. When they grow up, they use algae as food. The plastic bags flow into the sea, green turtle mistaken for jellyfish and algae death caused by eating. In the past, all the beaches in Taiwan had records of laying turtles ashore. However, due to over-exploitation and man-made damage to the coast, only a few beaches can see green turtles spawning. Green turtles on their way back to the sea, in addition to human destruction, will encounter many natural enemies attack, very few green turtles can grow up, only about one thousandth. In order to prevent the green turtle from disappearing from the earth, we must conserve it and value the environment around us, so that we can maintain the living conditions of the green turtles and keep them in habitat multiply offspring, and remain forever on this beautiful earth. On September 2th 2017, Shi-Men Community Scout - Cub Scout joined the “Plastic reduce by me” project. To reduce the number of plastic bags used and increase the recycling of plastic bags, we collected the used plastic bags, cleaned, dried, folded, and delivered to the neighborhood shops nearby, for residents without shopping bag. Photocopying the contents of the project in a plastic bag to let residents know the importance of environmental protection and encourage residents to bring their own bags to reduce the use of new plastic bags.
