2014 Brigada Eskwela of San Vicente Elementary School

BrigadaEskwela is one of the activities in public schools that shows the volunteerism and camaraderie of its stakeholders, community, LGUs, NGOs and private organizations to devote their time, skills and effort to do repairs and maintenance works in public schools. This is to ensure that public school facilities are set in time for the forthcoming school opening. After the successful partnership between the San Vicente Elementary School and the University of the East on the 2013 BrigadaEskwela, the school made a historic accomplishment for this year’sBrigadaEskwela. The Rotary Club of Camp Aguinaldo extended their help to the school. The current president of the Rotary Club and San Vicente Elementary School alumnus, Mr. Robert C. Camba, led his group in support to the educational thrust of the Department of Education. They donated reference materials, bookshelf, paints and brooms as initial materials of the school library. Through this effort, it will provide an opportunity to young minds to explore and discover the beauty of the world through reading books. The week-long activity was initiated with the parents, teachers, barangay officials, volunteers and alumni of the school. The Rotary Club of Camp Aguinaldo had participated on this event on May 21, 2014. A simple ceremony was held for the turn-over of Adopt-A-School Project and signing of Memorandum of Agreement and Deed of Donation between two partner institutions.
