1st MoP and Scouts Go Solar Workshop

The Bharat Scouts & Guides, Assam with the help of Chandan Jyoti Kalita and Arpita Sengupta, the Local MOP Coordinators along with Biswajeet Das, Joint Secretary of Kamrup(M). It was arranged with the collaboration of The Bharat Scouts and Guides Kamrup Metropolitan District Association, organized a MOP & Scout Go Solar Workshop in the Assam State Headquarter of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Assam on 8th September 2019.

The workshop started at 7:00 am with the registration of the participants. There were total of 88 participants from different schools, colleges and groups of Kamrup (M) district along with their respective unit leaders. After the registration session, we assembled near the flag post and by 8:30 am, we completed our flag session. Breakfast was served right after the flag session. Then we moved towards the integration session. Our workshop was graced by Assam State Chief Commissioner A.K. Absar Hazarika ; Assam State Secretary Khangandra Nath Das ; Assam State Training Commissioner (S) Ranajit Basu ;  District commissioner of West Bengal Kartik Ch. Das and Rover Scout Leader of Nagaland Dr. C. Periswami and other staff members as well as unit leaders. We heard encouraging and motivational speeches from our honorable leaders that motivated us throughout the workshop. The integrated session was followed by the Introduction of MOP where we gave our best to make the participants understand the true meaning of MOP and its modules. We started off our introduction with a quick Life Vest video and then continued with the Better world Framework presentation. We tried to explain every bit of BWF program. Then we moved towards the MOP PowerPoint presentation, videos and games of MOP and according to its modules. We explained the MOP modules in details to them.

After the finishing our MOP introduction, we started our introduction on Scout Go Solar. The Scout Go Solar introduction was supported by PowerPoint presentation and explaination of its various activities. We served lunch after the completetion of Scout Go Solar introduction. After lunch, we started our activities on MOP & Scout Go Solar. We tried to show them the different Scout Go Solar objects, circuits, diagrams such as Solar Cooker, Solar Fountain, Solar Mobile Charger, Solar Fan, Solar Fan, Solar light and the Colors of Sun. All this activities was well supported by diagrams, testing objects and we tried to explain every object presented to them. We kept records of every activities performed by them. After Scout Go Solar, we started with our MOP activities such as What Peace Means to You? ; MOP Song and MOP Beat Dance. The participants thoroughly enjoyed in the activities session.

We ended our workshop with the Workshop Impression from the participants. It was followed by the acknowledgment speech of our honorable leaders and badges were distributed after that. We presented a vote of thanks to them for their active participation and for motivating us to continue it further.
